MathENGINE is a mathematical environment where you can perform
a wide range of calculations in standard maths
notation and plot graphs on 2D Cartesian diagrams. You can use
the software to evaluate formulas, check calculations,
analyse functions, create documents or prepare questions, as well as carry out many other mathematical study and analysis tasks.
The flexible workbench design enables you to add notes,
arrange your calculations and graphs on the page, insert new pages,
and apply formatting to all text and graphics.

Numerical Calculations
Click any point on the page and start typing your calculation. By pressing
Enter, MathENGINE will immediately calculate and display the result. The
expressions you type can include arithmetic, relational and logical operators,
as well as fractions, exponents, square roots
and built-in mathematical functions:
- Logarithmic and Exponential
- Trigonometric
- Inverse Trigonometric
- Hyperbolic
- Inverse Hyperbolic
- Logical
- Numeric

Graph Plotting
MathENGINE can plot practically any function of one variable on a 2D Cartesian
diagram, including polynomials, rationals and trigonometric functions.
- Discontinuity detection and removal
- Y-range automatic adjustment
- Specify grid size, axes ranges and increments
- Specify caption frequencies
- Customise colours and styles of graph parts
- Plot multiple functions on a single diagram

Functions and Variables
MathENGINE enables you to declare new variables, which can be used in your
calculations. By changing the value of a variable, all the calculations that depend
on the variable will be instantly updated and the new results displayed on
the page.
You can also define new functions of one or more arguments, which can be
called from within your calculations. For example, we can define a function f(x),
create a plot of the function, and evaluate it at various points. By changing the
definition of f(x), the graph and calculations will be automatically updated.

MathENGINE provides a complete range of graph and text formatting options.
- Font, text size, text colour, bold, italic, and underline
- Paragraph alignment: left, centre, right, full justify
- Line colour, style and thickness
- Format resetting
