Content Management System
All our websites have an administrative interface (called a content management
system) that allows you to easily update the text and graphics
in individual web pages without requiring any knowledge of HTML coding or programming.
Easy to use, secure, online
The content management system is a secure web-based interface that
you can access through Internet Explorer from any Internet-connected computer. You
can make your changes at your own convenience and publish them to the live web site
once you are ready. We can provide you with up to three pairs of usernames and passwords
for your organisation to use.
Edit Pages
Use the online web editor to add, edit or delete text and pictures
in any web page. The editor makes available full formatting capabilities,
including heading styles, paragraph styles, fonts, colours and tables. You can also
insert hyperlinks and pictures anywhere in the
page.
Create New Pages
Use the New Page Wizard to create a new page based on one of several
provided templates, which automatically take care of overall page layout and appearance,
leaving you free to concentrate on the actual content.
Manage Your Website
Use the Navigation pane to browse through all the content in your
website and rename or delete any items as needed. All items in the site are automatically
categorised, so for example you can view a list of all the items you have added
or a list of all JPEG pictures or Word documents.
Publication History and Rollback
You can view previously published versions of each web page and
even rollback to a previous version if you want to undo your latest
changes. The software maintains a list of recent changes to each
page so you can keep track of when each change was made and by whom.
Upload Pictures
You can upload your own pictures to the website and use them in
any web page. The software can automatically resize the pictures for you if required.
JPEG, GIF and PNG pictures are supported.
Upload Documents
You can upload your own files and documents to the website and
add hyperlinks to them in any web page. The following file formats are supported:
- Office Documents: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- PDF Documents
- Plain Text Files
- Zip Files
